You’ll be very lucky indeed if you are invited by a member to play at one of the world's greatest, most photogenic - and most exclusive - courses, The Loch Lomond Golf Club. But don't worry if you're not. There are loads of lovely Scottish golf courses in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There is a wide variety of courses - for everyone from beginners to those who like more of a challenge - but all guarantee quality golf and spectacular scenery. Try one of these:-

Balfron Golf Club – Balfron Golf Society runs a delightful 18 hole course situated 6 miles from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, in an area of West Stirlingshire in Scotland, 20 miles to the north of Glasgow and to the west of Stirling.

Cardross Golf Club -  less than 6 miles from Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, with stunning views over the river Clyde and only 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport, makes Cardross not only easily accessible but a must on any golfing holiday.

Strathendrick Golf Club  -  Testing, undulating parkland course on the banks of the River Endrick with superb views. Designed by Willie Fernie in 1901. Our excellent 9 Hole course receives lots of compliments on its upkeep, appearance and presentation. The condition of our Greens and Fairways are second to none.

Helensburgh Golf Club -  an 18 hole course offering a fine test of golf, with outstanding views west to the river Clyde and east to Loch Lomond

Dumbarton Golf Club -  a stunning 18 hole parkland golf course, founded in 1888 is designed to test the straightest of drivers.

Buchanan Castle Golf Club - a special tranquil place providing an almost tangible tonic to the system.  It is one of Scotland’s hidden golfing splendours nestling in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands, close to Loch Lomond and the picturesque village of Drymen - only half an hour from Glasgow city centre.

Milngavie Golf Club - only 15 minutes from the North, West End, and South Side of Glasgow, and on the edge of Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie Golf Club is considered by many to be the finest golf course in the district. Founded in 1895, the course was originally designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlonie, with later features added by James Braid. It now boasts a range of tees from a testing 6,107 yards par 70, to the tricky 5,333 yard red course.

Aberfoyle Golf Club - Aberfoyle is a hilly course that lies only a mile out of the village on the main Stirling road. It is one of the many James Braid-designed heathland courses in the country and was established as far back as 1890. The course has stunning views west to Ben Lomond and south to the Campsie Hills, so the overall panorama is quite superb.

Vale of Leven Golf Club -  Vale of Leven Golf Club was formed in 1907 and the course is situated on the east side of the valley overlooking the surrounding area with some tremendous views of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond. From the highest point of the course the view extends as far as Dumbarton Rock and the Clyde estuary.  Aa hidden gem with undulating fairways and fast greens.
