3          Take a picnic -  Picnic sites are available at Balmaha - Old Manse Bay - Millarochy Bay - Sallochy – Rowardennan. We are delighted to supply superb picnic and packed lunches to suit all tastes.

4          Climb Ben Lomond and The Cobbler - Ben Lomond, a moderate walk offering magnificent views from its summit, is Scotland’s southernmost ‘Munro’ and is probably one of the most climbed hills in Scotland. The Cobbler, or Ben Arthur its correct name, is just short of a Munro but is still one of Scotland's most spectacular mountains due to the unusual skyline and fabulous views. The Cobbler is one of a group of mountains known as 'The Arrochar Alps’ andis a serious climb not to be taken lightly, especially in winter or conditions of poor visibility.

5          A flight with Loch Lomond Seaplanes - Find out why over 6000 people flew with Loch Lomond Seaplanes in 2009 and why the experience was voted Scotland's Top Attraction. Experience taking off and landing on the waters of Loch Lomond with the UK's only commercial seaplane service. We provide regular excursions, charters and lunch flights across Scotland from our base on Loch Lomond throughout March to November. 

6          Wildlife watching - The woods, mountains, lochs and coasts of Lomond & The Trossachs National Park are rich in wildlife. Throughout the year National Park Rangers organise and support a wide range of activities and events exploring the fascinating wildlife of the Park.

7          Enjoy top quality golf – The new Carrick course at Loch Lomond welcomes visitors. There are 30 courses within easy reach, including excellent golf right on the doorstep at Buchanan Castle, and nearby at Milngavie, Vale of Leven and Helensburgh.

8          Watersports on the many lochs - Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park contains 22 lochs all of which allow a huge variety of watersports such as canoeing, fishing, gorge walking, kayaking, rafting, wake boarding, water ski-ing, jet ski-ing and sailing. .

9          Walking and cycling in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park - The forest park appeals to all kinds of people with a variety of interests. For the outdoor enthusiast there are forest tracks, abandoned railway lines and quiet glens which can be easily accessed for walking and in most cases mountain biking. For the less adventurous who just want to relax in wonderful surroundings there are peaceful spots in the woods, by lochsides and waterfalls where you can relax with nature.

10        Superb fishing - There are excellent fishing opportunities of all types in the National Park: from high quality fly fishing on famous salmon rivers, through loch fishing for brown trout and other species by boat or from the shore, to fisheries re-stocked regularly with brown or rainbow trout and coarse fishing for pike and perch etc.
